2019: Udoedeghe Hands-Over Structures To Nsima Ekere ...As Ibibio Collapses Into APC

By UbongAbasi Ise

It may come as a huge surprise to many political followers in Akwa Ibom State as Senator John Akpanudoedehe, the former gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has decideed to bury his grievances that stemmed from the just concluded Party primary election, to declare his support for his erstwhile opponent, Obong Nsima Ekere, who is bearing the APC flag in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
Akpanudoedehe weekend stated his resolve to join forces with Obong Nsima Ekere when he hosted his supporters at his country home in Uyo saying the APC would win all the elections in Akwa Ibom State next year.
He cleared the air over having any discreet dealings with the Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP, charging his teeming supporters to disassociate with the PDP while assuring them of accommodation in government when the APC takes over power next year.
“I don't have any understanding with PDP. What PDP has been doing is going through the backdoor to offer some of you money to join them.
“Today, I forbid anyone of you from having anything to do with PDP,” the Senator said.
On those trolling on Obong Nsima Ekere online, Senator Akpanudoedehe  warned his supporters to desist from such act. In his words, “If you have been writing things on the Internet against Nsima, please stop it.”
It would be recalled that Senator John Akpanudoedehe had earlier rejected the primary election result but made a u-turn over the weekend.
Akpanudoehe later that day received the likes of Senator Godswill Akpabio, Obong Nsima Ekere, Otuekong Don Etiebet and other Party stalwarts at his home in the presence of hundreds of his supporters.
Meanwhile, shortly after his nomination in October as the Akwa Ibom State 2019 gubernatorial candidate on the platform of APC, Obong (Dr.) Nsima Ekere stated his willingness to work with his co-contestants who participated in the primary election of the party.
Accepting the nomination at the APC Secretariat in Uyo, Obong Ekere told the press that the process of his nomination brought no victor or vanquished, while calling on other aspirants to join him in planning for victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
