Twenty Questions for Sir Emem Akpabio, KJW

COALITION FOR GREATER AKWA IBOM STATE (GOGA) Twenty Questions for Sir Emem Akpabio, KJW            It is pertinent to put your records of god-fatherism straight now that you have changed baton. For the betterment of your posterity, we advise you to answer these salient questions. Who made you a god-father? Did you answer this name “god-father” when you were in Shell BP? What are your political credentials as god-father of Ukana Ikot Ntuen, let alone Akwa Ibom state? When you were a staff of shell BP how many people did you employ, build houses for, and even buy cars for? Do you know that God decorates destiny through human? Do you agree with us that Senator Godwill Akpabio is your destiny helper? What was your political status before 2007? How many people did you sponsor appointments in the civil service before 2007? How many commissioners did you appoint before 2007 in Akwa Ibom State? How many political appointees did you recommend for appointments before 2007? How many

Communique Issued at the End of The 24th Plenary Meeting Of Coalition Of Essien Udim Youths (COESUY) Which Held On Monday 24th September, 2019

INTRODUCTION The COALITION OF ESSIEN UDIM YOUTHS hereinafter referred to as COESUY has observed with utter dismay the unprovoked and malicious attempt by paid agents of the current PDP administration in the State to rubbish and continually impugn the glowing image of our Leader - distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, just because he has left the PDP for the APC. The group has also noted with righteous indignation the sustained media onslaught and campaign of calumny against our distinguished Senator and Leader by the same disgruntled members of PDP who appear to be licking their wounds out of sheer realization that the Senator's epic movement into APC bears an ominous sign of failure for the PDP in the State, in the forthcoming general elections. In view of the above and other matters arising therefrom, COESUY has resolved and wish to publicly state as follows: 1) That distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio remains our Torch-bearer and Political Leader who kn

5000 Teachers: Udom Must Apologize To Akwa Ibom People – Nsima Ekere, Lawyer

By UbongAbasi Ise The counsel to 5,000 teachers, Barr. Clifford Thomas, has joined Obong Nsima Ekere, the APC governorship aspirant, to urge the incumbent state governor to tender unreserved apologies to Akwa Ibom people for wasting their mandate. Speaking weekend at Uyo Township Stadium during a solidary rally organized on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari and himself, Ekere decried the underperformance and general poor human welfare attitude of the government of Mr. Udom Emmanuel. He believed that the state governor needs to beg the people of Akwa Ibom State for forgiveness over the poor performance of students in the West African Examination Certificate, WAEC. He said instead of taking responsibility and apologize for the poor performance of Akwa Ibom students in the WAEC, the state government officials chose to interrogate to know the activities of NDDC without minding their mandate. He said: “let the PDP government in Ah Ibom State not hide under the excuse of ‘what has the

One Thing About Ekere

By UbongAbasi Ise “A half-filled bottle makes noise, while a full bottle makes none” – Chinese Epigram As far as I know, Obong Nsima Ekere is just like a ripe fruit grown on a roadside tree which attracts stones, sticks and all manner of projectiles to it. Every ripe fruit is always a subject of target. Nobody bothers about the unripe fruits and the rotten ones because they lack desirability. Looking at Obong Nsima Ekere, he has been assailed from all angles by chagrined political chancers who suffer palpitation each time they hear anything about him. It looks as if the orgy of mudslinging against him would never end. Those with competing interests naturally see him as a potential threat, and therefore would sponsor their minions to look out for his glitches that would help them score cheap political point. Both his intra- and inter-party opponents seem to form unholy alliance with single-mindedness to frustrate him from participating in a race towards the Hilltop mansion. As Wi

Uyo Rally: Nsima Ekere Vows To Expose Udom … Promises To Immortalize Attah, Akpabio, Isemin, Ors … Will Complete Deep Seaport Project … As Buhari Says A’Ibom Is APC Priority

By UbongAbasi Ise The Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, and the governorship hopeful, Obong (Dr.) Nsima Ekere, has taken a swipe at the incumbent Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, saying his campaign team would soon expose all the tissues of lies the present PDP government has fed Akwa Ibomites with for over three years of its administration. Ekere, who spoke weekend to the exhilarating crowd at the Uyo Towship Stadium during a solidarity rally organized in honour of President Muhammadu Buhari and himself, said it is time for Mr. Udom Emmanuel and the PDP to tell the people how they manage over N900 billion the state received in the life of this administration. He sounded a clear warning to the PDP government that the NDDC is not in competition with the state government but an intervention agency set up to bridge the gap of development in the Niger Delta region. “NDDC is not in competition with the state government; NDDC is there to inte

Gov. Udom’s Brother, Commissioner In Epic Scam … Issue Dud Cheques … EFCC To Uncover More Sleaze

By UbongAbasi Ise Mr. Nkanang Gabriel Emmanuel, the elder brother to the AkwaIbom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, is strongly linked to a financial mess where the Commissioner for Economic Development, Idorenyin Sunday Udoh, is alleged to have swindled a common AkwaIbom man out of N24 million, leaving him all alone to face the wrath of the angry lenders. From the available evidences, our correspondent gathered that Idorenyin Udoh had issued dud cheques in three tranches of N8 million each to Mr. Ubong Ekpe, an Eket resident, who facilitated N24 million interest-free loans to the commissioner on 28th of September 2017 with agreement to pay up on the 28th December, 2017. Three UBA cheque leaves belonging to the Economic Development Commissioner who is currently serving under the present state government of Mr. Udom Emmanuel, all carry the date of 28th December, 2017, and  were duly signed with the sum of N8 million written on them with numbers: 88583409 033200987 1008457841 01,885

5,000 Teachers: Udom's Govt Has Nothing To Defend In Court - Lawyer... Clears Air On Igbo Claims

By UbongAbasi Ise The counsel to the 5,000 sacked teachers, Barr. Clifford Thomas, says it is now very clear that the Akwa Ibom State Government has nothing to defend in court against his clients over the wrongful termination of their teaching appointment. Speaking with our correspondent over weekend, the human rights lawyersaid the case is very much live in the court contrary to the mischievous claims that the matter is dead and buried. He slammed the state government for failing to make available, within the stipulated time, a Record of Appeal as ordered by the Court of Appeal sitting in Calabar. “Whoever is saying that the case of 5000 teachers is dead and buried is as ignorant as any ignorant person. In fact the person’s state of mind is not just being ignorant but being mischievous. “The AkwaIbom State Government and the defendants, generally, could not offer any defense to their illegal action of wrongfully terminating the appointment of the 5000 teachers on radio. They bre

Eket Rally: A’Ibom Collapses For APC … As Nsima Ekere Declares For One Term As Governor … Former Governor Leads Thousands From PDP To APC

Image
By UbongAbasi Ise The oil city of Eket went agog today as Obong Nsima Ekere, the Managing Director of Niger-Delta Development Commission, NDDC, agreed to enter into gubernatorial race on the platform of All Progressives Congresses, APC, promising to serve only a term as the governor of Akwa Ibom State. Obong Nsima Ekere, who was urged to enter into the gubernatorial race by the APC chieftains in the state, was given an APC Expression of Interest/ Nomination Form, which was presented to him by the leader of Akwa Ibom State Chapter of APC, Otuekong Don Etiebet, and the mammoth crowd at the venue was thrown into wild jubilation as the NDDC boss accepted to run but with the condition to spend only four years at the Hilltop Mansion in Uyo. However, Ekere’s decision to serve just a tenure, has put to rest the anxiety of Uyo Senatorial District that any alternative to the incumbent Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, who may likely require two term, would delay the Uyo Senatorial Distri
