Regret

Image
I see a sky without clouds and stars I'm not in darkness but I'm far away from light I saw you like fire and water Didn't know you were a pleasant nature I thought you were my enemy Didn't see you were a dove wearing an owls feather This love you gave with loyalty But I showed no accolades You served me your pain everyday And wasted your flesh to please me But I was too blind to see Was I naive  or stupid ??? Now sorry is too late to say "Come back" you might never hear I would be cursed if I sing eulogy at your grave But if termites had not made a feast of your heart Please do forgive me... Hurt

Image
You move with your limbs of snake Mind of ice and heart of coal Hurt spills from your tongue And you burn me with your eyes You destroy what we have And only left a cloying perfume A scent of death fills the air Still I find myself at your feet You pleasured your purpose Bended my rules And betrayed my truth But I crave to be in your abusive arms Then time finally claims my flaking bones And empties my bleeding heart I become a speck of dust in your eyes But I promise I'll always be there Poem & Drawing By Emem Udoh Also read:  Reminisce

By UbongAbasi Ise Akwa Ibom-based human rights lawyer, Barr. Clifford Thomas, believes fight against corruption in the country would not tick without death penalty. Speaking at Planet FM’s EFCC half-hour programme penultimate Thursday, Barr. The vocal lawyer, while pointing at China where consequence for corruption is death penalty, and where the families of the condemned have to pay for the bullet used for the execution, said in comparison, that Nigeria is too soft on corruption. He stressed the difficulties involved in establishing facts against the accused persons saying this makes it a herculean task to secure conviction. “I know EFCC, even the ICPC and other anti-graft agencies are able to secure convictions for a couple of matters they have in court, and

Now these dreams become too small to find My imaginations like a god Creating things that don't exist Seeing things beyond the dark We came together this far Until the cold burned you away I would curse the rain But no...I'd rather bless the sun No...I don't miss you But our soul impinges admits tears You're like an inferno...always rekindling yourself Without you...I'm not any stronger than earths clay I now see more than I should Under the slow dying sun No punishment could really be worst than your death You are GONE Poem Written By Emem Udoh Drawing By UbongAbasi Ise
