PDP Collapses In Ikono

The Peoples Democratic Party units canvassers hands over their former party's office to APC as over 1000 of them defects to APC at the Ward Center at Governments Primary School, Ikot Odu Ndiya ward 8, Ikono LGA.
The ward which boast of acclaimed Political gladiators as the PDP candidate for Ikono/ Ini Federal Constituency in 2019, a current board member, 2 SA's to the Governor, a Supervisor, councilor, as well as the current Vice Chairman cannot afford to renew the rent of the said ward office which had expired since September. The units canvassers who are predominantly farmers of the ward on hearing about the embarrassments the expired rent debt has caused the party, and yet no stakeholder has volunteered to pay, decided to contribute money and renewed the rent and handed over the office to APC as they all defected to the party.
It could be recall that the ward office was rented last year by the out going SSA on Demographic Planing Dr. Anthony Usoro who just resigned his appointment from the current administration.

By UbongAbasi Ise Following the application by one of the representatives of the 5,000 sacked secondary school teachers, Mr. Ukeme Anwan, seeking a change of a sole witness in Suit CA/C/362/2018 brought before the Court of Appeal sitting in Calabar by the Akwa Ibom State Government, the state Attorney General, Barr. Uwemedimo Nwoko, was in court on 22nd October 2020 to oppose the application. The matter was adjourned to 24th November 2020 for decisions to be taken on motions. By UbongAbasi Ise Governorship and the state house of assembly elections have come and gone, not without leaving the people of Ukanafun community in mourning, as indigenes were shot while coming out to perform their civic responsibility on Saturday. At polling unit 004 in Ikot Udo Ossiom in Ward 2, Ukanafun local government area, Ubokutom Sampson, a man of 25 years of age, was allegedly shot by a military personnel claimed to have accompanied the stakeholders of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, according to an eyewitness who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity.   Sampson was later confirmed dead. Another victim of gunshot at the polling unit was a woman, who was simply described as Mrs. Udom. The source claimed she was also shot by the same soldier who opened fire on Ubokutom Sampson.
