The former Chairman of Uyo local government council and the APC flag-bearer for the Uyo Federal Constituency election, Mr. Ekerette Ekpenyong, slammed Mr. Udom Emmanuel for seizing the revenue generated by the transporters in Uyo local government area for the State Ministry of Transport, while calling on ObongNsimaEkere to reverse the trend when he comes into office on 29th May. In his remark, the APC governorship candidate, Obong Nsima Ekere, while berating the incumbent for disregarding Uyo’s master-plan,     promised to revert to the design of the capital city in accordance with its master-plan.
Mr. Ekere promised Uyo people that his government will bring back the market and motor-park to the local government.
The immediate past Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission also reiterated his commitment to pay civil servants promotion arrears, gratuity, and pension on regularly basis and promised that his government will not only resume payment of  bursary to Akwa Ibom students but will increase it from N5000 to N25000
Meanwhile in Southern Uruan Ward 5 in Uruan local government area, the political leader, Engr.
