SURPRISE! Onofiok Luke Links Up With Nsima Ekere

The Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Barr. Onofiok Luke, has been pictured sharing some nice moments with the APC gubernatorial flag-bearer, Obong Nsima Ekere, during a child dedication service at Winners Chapel in Uyo Sunday.

The pictures of the duo, popularly perceived as being bitter political rivals, surfaced on Nsima Ekere’s twitter handle showing the two having apparent harmless conversion at where they were closely seated at the front row.
Dr. Amadu Attai, the governorship running mate to Obong Ekere, was also captured in the shot as he seemed to be concentrating on activities at the podium.
Ekere later took to his twitter handle, tweeting the pictures that have so far received many hits from his followers.
Captioning the pictures, the tweet reads: “*POLITICS ASIDE*With Rt Honourable Onofiok Luke and APC Stakeholders this morning at Winners Chapel, Uyo for the dedication of Mr. Michael Etim James' (aka MacJoe) daughter.”

It still remains unclear whether the 6th Assembly speaker, Onofiok Luke and Obong Nsima Ekere, the NDDC Managing Director, had had any political agreement ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Meanwhile, it should be noted that Barr. Onofiok Luke vies for a seat of Etinan Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in next year’s election.

By UbongAbasi Ise Following the application by one of the representatives of the 5,000 sacked secondary school teachers, Mr. Ukeme Anwan, seeking a change of a sole witness in Suit CA/C/362/2018 brought before the Court of Appeal sitting in Calabar by the Akwa Ibom State Government, the state Attorney General, Barr. Uwemedimo Nwoko, was in court on 22nd October 2020 to oppose the application. The matter was adjourned to 24th November 2020 for decisions to be taken on motions. By UbongAbasi Ise Governorship and the state house of assembly elections have come and gone, not without leaving the people of Ukanafun community in mourning, as indigenes were shot while coming out to perform their civic responsibility on Saturday. At polling unit 004 in Ikot Udo Ossiom in Ward 2, Ukanafun local government area, Ubokutom Sampson, a man of 25 years of age, was allegedly shot by a military personnel claimed to have accompanied the stakeholders of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, according to an eyewitness who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity.   Sampson was later confirmed dead. Another victim of gunshot at the polling unit was a woman, who was simply described as Mrs. Udom. The source claimed she was also shot by the same soldier who opened fire on Ubokutom Sampson.
