I see a sky without clouds and stars
I'm not in darkness but I'm far away from light
I saw you like fire and water
Didn't know you were a pleasant nature
I thought you were my enemy
Didn't see you were a dove wearing an owls feather

This love you gave with loyalty
But I showed no accolades
You served me your pain everyday
And wasted your flesh to please me
But I was too blind to see
Was I naive  or stupid ???

Now sorry is too late to say
"Come back" you might never hear
I would be cursed if I sing eulogy at your grave
But if termites had not made a feast of your heart
Please do forgive me...

By UbongAbasi Ise Following the application by one of the representatives of the 5,000 sacked secondary school teachers, Mr. Ukeme Anwan, seeking a change of a sole witness in Suit CA/C/362/2018 brought before the Court of Appeal sitting in Calabar by the Akwa Ibom State Government, the state Attorney General, Barr. Uwemedimo Nwoko, was in court on 22nd October 2020 to oppose the application. The matter was adjourned to 24th November 2020 for decisions to be taken on motions. In a counter affidavit on 21st October 2020 deposed by Uduak Udo-Udo, a Litigation Officer in the Attorney General Chamber of the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Justice, the Appellants (Akwa Ibom State Government & 7 ors) rejected the replacement of the sole witness, Mr. Joshua Matthew Ayagwung, with Mr. Ukeme Anwan saying the name of a Respondent could not be replaced at this time The State Government and co claimed that Ukeme Anwan (The Deponent) does not have the consent of his colleagues nor the Respondents ...

This is the village where Mr. Udom Emmanuel, as Akwa Ibom State governor, is having his office. This village hosts the state judiciary headquarters, Police "A" Division, Nigerian Prisons, Fire Service, State Library headquarters, Uyo local government council, Anchor Insurance, Ibom Plaza, banks, and motley of business organizations. This community is the root of Uyo metropolis, the seat of Akwa Ibom State government. Ironically, this village has never had any indigene appointed as a commissioner into the state cabinet before. None of the indigenes has ever been a Permanent Secretary to any of the state ministries. They are not appointed into boards. They are also eluded by government contracts.
