Those that were at Onna for Pa Gabriel Nkanang’s burial could get this picture clearer. The polemics of Nigerian political construct were glaring at the grand funeral in that one wouldn’t find it difficult to locate the level they belong in the political game. Although there was nothing to stratify the multitude of sympathizers along the APC-PDP faultline, there actually existed class tendency naturally conditioned by individuals’ political status. While the members of political power class were seen consorting together, playing and teasing themselves as if they had no history of enmity, their subjects cum followers at the lower rung of the political ladder were apparently left to mingle with those of their class.
