The Youths numbering about 3000 revealed to the senator that they are aware of the 50 million naira empowerment largesse he gave for the empowerment of Essien Udim youths which was hijacked by two of his former aides, Mr. Anthony Luke and Mr. Prince Ukpong Akpabio who were his aides then when he was a governor.

The youths hinted that the duo who are currently working as SA and Commissioner in the government of Mr. Udom Emmanuel are the ones castigating the senator whom they were direct beneficiaries of his uncommon benevolence.

The youths also revealed that the two aides shared the money between themselves instead of the people it was meant for. Instead they used it to build estates for themselves in Uyo and also bought many properties at different locations.

Akpabio however apologized to the youths and also asked them to forgive those who cheated them in the past, stressing that he has learnt his lesson and will ensure that such do not happen next time.

He charged the youths to support APC candidates at all levels as APC is a party that has a good reward system for her teeming supporters.

Akpabio also assured them that he will advise the incoming government well on how to relate with the youths.
