2019: A’Ibom APC Finally Releases Candidates List

The much awaited comprehensive list of Akwa Ibom State candidates that will be representing the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the next year’s general elections, has officially been released, following  the party’s primary elections conducted last month.
Topping the list is the governorship candidate, Obong (Dr.) Nsima Ekere, followed by his running mate, Dr. Amadu Atai.
Former governor, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has made the list as he seeks reelection to represent Akwa Ibom North-West in the Nigerian Senate, and he is expected to lead the pack as his party heads into the big race.
Other senatorial candidates include Mr. Bassey Etim, a.k.a. Bafil, who is seeking election to represent Akwa Ibom North-East, and Senator Nelson Effiong, a serving senator vying for a return to the Red Chambers to continue with the representation of Akwa Ibom South.
The former State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mr. Victor Antai, has been included in the list as one of the party’s Federal House of Representatives candidates, and he is the flag-bearer for the Oron/Mbo/Okobo/Udung Uko/Urue Offong/Oruko Federal Constituency election.
Other Federal House of Representatives candidates include Mr. Emmanuel Ekon (Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika); Mr. Emmanuel Ukoette  (Ukanafun/Oruk Anam); Mr. Emmanuel Sunday Akpan (Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara); Barr. Edidiong Idiong (Ikono/Ini); Mr. Ekerette Ekpenyong (Uyo/Uruan/Nsit Atai/ Ibesikpo Asutan); Barr. Edet Ikotidem (Itu/ibiono Ibom); Mr. Dan Akpan (Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium); Mr. Benard Udoh (Ikot Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obolo; and Mr. Kufre Alex Akpabio (Eket/Onna/Esit Eket/Ibeno).
Those contesting for Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly seats include Barr. Victor Nkanang (Abak); Barr. Chris Okorie (Etim Ekpo/Ika); Noah Frank Noah (Oruk Anam); Nnamso Eyo Idiong (Ukanafun); Mrs. Inimfon A. Nelson (Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara; Nse Ntuen (Essien Udim); Nya John Isong (Ini); Eka Kenny Inyang (Ikono); Barr. Uwem Umoh (Uyo); Dr. Itoro Noah (Ibesikpo Asutan); KufreAbasi Etuk (Uruan); Blessing Ossom (Nsit Atai); Idongesit Ituen (Itu); Owodinyene Ekpenyong (Ibiono Ibom); Ofonime Okpok (Etinan); Imaikop Sampson Ewang (Nsit Ibom); Ime Alfred Akpan (Nsit Ubium); Uko Ekpe  (Ikot Abasi/Eastern Obolo); Iboro Ekpo (Mkpat Enin); Ifiok Ekaette (Onna); Charles Egboho (Eket); Effiong Johnson (Mbo); Eyo Inyang Abia (Esit Eket/Ibeno); Edu Attah (Okobo); Barr.
