Lawmaker representing Akwa Ibom North-East (Uyo) Senatorial District, Senator (Obong) Albert Bassey Akpan, has joined sympathizers to mourn the demise of the father to Mr. Emmanuel Effiong, the chief executive officer of the Cradle TV Show on NTA, Uyo.

Late Obongiberedem Ufon Effiong, who died on November 12, 2020 at the age of 64, will be buried on Saturday 20th March, 2021 by 10.00am at Ikot Akpa Isiak, Nkwot, Ikono local government area of Akwa Ibom State.

Senator Albert Akpan described late Obongiberedem Effiong as a man of immense creativity, vigour and discipline in a condolence letter dated February 26, 2021 and addressed to the deceased son, Mr. Emmanuel Effiong.

The lawmaker said late Effiong had ran a good race, praying the family has the fortitude to bear the loss.

“It is with a heavy heart that I offer my deepest sympathy on the sudden death of your beloved Father, Late Obongiberedem Ufon Effiong at the age of 64 years. I commiserate with you and your family on this irreparable loss.

“As I understand, Late Obongiberedem was a man of immense creativity, vigour and of great potentials. A devoted Christian with a unique and exemplary life; His passion for excellence and discipline character guided his daily activities.

“It is rather unfortunate that this great man is no more and we cannot question the authority of God in this case. He alone knows how we came into this world and when he chooses to call us home. Late Obongiberedem Ufon Effiong Okorie ran a good race and has finished his course. I, therefore urge you, and the entire family to find solace in the Biblical injunction that death is the only means to transcend to eternity as Christians.
