New FAMP C'mittee To Simulate A'Ibom Movie Industry With Grants, Ors

There is a good news for members of Akwa Ibom movie industry as the newly constituted Forum of Akwa Ibom Movie Practitioners, FAMP, considers provision of financial grants and credit facility keys to revamping the make-believe industry in the state.

In a statement by FAMP's Public Relations Officer, Prince JTT Jude  following the inauguration of the newly elected caretaker committee on Monday, 20th July, 2020, the forum said it would be enacting enabling laws and be providing conducive environment in a bid to boost movie production value chain.

The group believes the initiative would bring lasting solutions to the industry,  adding that ithe gains would benefit posterity.

"This is the solution for our ailing industry and together, the Akwa Ibom Movie industry shall rise again and we shall bequeath a formidable and prosperous industry to our next generation and to the yet unborn," the statement reads.

Following the elections on Monday to fill officers into positions in the caretaker committee, Mr Oliver Peters emerged as the forum's Chairman; Mr. Thomas Etuk became the Secretary while Mrs. Benedette Wills-Obong emeged to  double as the Treasurer and the Assistant Secretary.
Other officers include Prince JTT Jude (Public Relations Offier) and Mrs. Dorathy Essien Yellowe (Welfare Officer).
