Actress Rose Diamond Gives Ultimatum To Just Wedded Daughter, Son-Inlaw

Popular actress and film Producer, Madam Rose Diamond, could not hide her joy on Sunday when her beautiful daughter, Winifred Rosa, tied nuptial knot with her heartthrob, Mr. Amarachi Chukwu in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

The wedding event, despite Covid-19 restrictions, drew the créme de la créme of the Akwa-Cross and Nollywood movie industry, with the Special Assistant to the State Governor on Entertainment Industry, Mr. David Sergeant a.k.a. Utang Akwa Ibom and ace actor, Ime Bishop Umoh popularly known as Okon-Lagos leading the pack.

Speaking with our correspondent shortly after the wedding ceremony, Madam Diamond said her daughter's wedding had brought tremendous happiness and honour to the family, while praying for the union of the new couple to be fruitful.

 “I wish them fruitful marital experience and I want them to give me a grandchild by next year by this time,” she said with cute smiles.

During the solemnization of the matrimony, Dr. Godwin Afangide, the Senior Pastor of Grace Foundation Bibile Church, Uyo, while reading from Ephesians 2:10 and 1:4-5, urged the couple to be blameless and to maintain innocence in the presence of God as such would save their marriage from inevitable problems.

Meanwhile Madam Rose Diamond came into entertainment industry in 2002 with her first movie being ‘Idiok Okuk’, and since then she has featured in close to 100 movies and has produced more than five movies. Her latest production which is in the market currently is Ibaan Iba.

The award-winning actress has acted alongside top Nollywood actors like Zack Orji, Desmond Elliot, late Sam Loco-Efe, late Pete Eneh, Ini Edo, Ime Bishop Umoh, Ekere Nkanga, Moses Armstrong, Moses Eskor, Ini Ikpe, Tony Umez, Evelyn Esin, etc.

By UbongAbasi Ise Following the application by one of the representatives of the 5,000 sacked secondary school teachers, Mr. Ukeme Anwan, seeking a change of a sole witness in Suit CA/C/362/2018 brought before the Court of Appeal sitting in Calabar by the Akwa Ibom State Government, the state Attorney General, Barr. Uwemedimo Nwoko, was in court on 22nd October 2020 to oppose the application. The matter was adjourned to 24th November 2020 for decisions to be taken on motions. By UbongAbasi Ise Governorship and the state house of assembly elections have come and gone, not without leaving the people of Ukanafun community in mourning, as indigenes were shot while coming out to perform their civic responsibility on Saturday. At polling unit 004 in Ikot Udo Ossiom in Ward 2, Ukanafun local government area, Ubokutom Sampson, a man of 25 years of age, was allegedly shot by a military personnel claimed to have accompanied the stakeholders of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, according to an eyewitness who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity.   Sampson was later confirmed dead. Another victim of gunshot at the polling unit was a woman, who was simply described as Mrs. Udom. The source claimed she was also shot by the same soldier who opened fire on Ubokutom Sampson.
