Ritual killers Invade A’Ibom School... Abduct Student

Tears flowed freely yesterday at the premises of Comprehensive Secondary School, Ediene Abak, Abak Local Government Area when news of a female junior secondary school student yet to be identified as at the time of filing this was reported.
The Sensor Crime Desk gathered that the victim was kidnapped at the Abak bridge while on her way back from school. It was further gathered that the kidnappers had stormed the community in a black jeep and beckoned on the three students that were returning from school to enter.

It was also gathered that when the students refused to enter the vehicle, one of them was forced inside while the other two resisted and then raised the alarm which prompted the evil men to speed off with the victim probably with the intention of using her for ritual as there is no contact with the family for ransom.
A source closed to the school told The Sensor Crime Desk that when the mother of the girl did not see her daughter return home, she decided to visit the school the following day (yesterday) only to realized what happened while returning from school. This prompted an alarm to be raised and tears began to flow from the eyes of fellow students.
However, when contacted, the authorities of the school said that it is not aware of the incident as it did not happen within the school premises. The school added that investigation is being carried out to ascertain the true position of the kidnapped case.
The Sensor Crime Desk recalled that there have been reported cases of missing children in Abak to kidnappers said to be on ritual expedition. A typical case is the one along Oku Abak lane where an 18 years old girl was kidnapped and latter release as the chief priest was said to have revealed the innocent girl carries five and would not be used for ritual.
When contacted, the Abak Divisional Police denied the invasion of the area by kidnappers. A senior officer in the Division who spoke with our reporter in confidence said, “we are not aware of the report”, adding that investigation will commence as soon as possible.
