By UbongAbasi Ise

Mr. Anietie Ekong, media assisitant to  Senator Godswill Akpabio says the alleged  seizure of Senator Godswill Akpabio’s   International passport by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC)is again falsehood taken too far.
In a statement released to the media over weekend, Mr. Ekong said Senator Akpabio has neither been invited by ICPC nor was he the contractor handling projects during his tenure as Minority leader and as Senator representing Akwaibom North west Senatorial district.
He said the campaign of calumny by appointment seekers will soon come to an end.
In the statement, he queried how someone could contemplate syndicating a false story of diversion of medical equipment worth less than 20 million naira against a man who routinely loves empowering his people and Nigerians with life savings whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Mr. Anietie Ekong further reminded the purveyors of false allegations that Nigerian laws now have provisions dealing with criminal libel and defamation of character.
