Nse Ntuen Certificate of Return: Mike Igini Acting Udom, PDP Script - AKV

A social justice crusader organisation, Akwa Ibom Visionaries' Choice for Better Tomorrow Initiative, AKV, has declared that Akwa Ibom Resident Electoral Commissioner’s refusal to issue the winner of the just concluded Election for Essien Udim State Constituency, Sir  Nse Ntuen with a Certificate of Return is a clear indication that he is acting the scripts of his "pay master" Governor Udom Emmanuel led Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The National President of the group, Comrade Emmanuel Effiong while addressing the press in Uyo over the weekend, accused the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Barr. Mike Igini of collecting bribe from the incumbent Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel to frustrate all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state

He called on the REC to explain the rationale behind Nse Ntuen opponent, Mr. Ese Umoh’s mission in the election petition tribunal since INEC have not yet issued his opponent with a certificate of return.

Effiong said, Mr. Igini would have issued out the certificate of return to the winner as was declared if he was not bias.

His words:" Igini's actions and steps in all ramification is a clear indication of PDP script implementation, it is only the tribunal that has authority to look into cases of Election petition.

"For the returning officer, who is a PDP member and was installed by PDP to deliver Essien Udim to come up with claims that he declared the result that was overwhelmingly won on ground under 'Duress' should have been a case to be addressed at the tribunal not INEC.

"He had no other way of eating his vomits and pleasing his party than what he did, after which he saw that Nse Ntuen won on ground which he had no other option than to announce and thereafter did what he did. He shouldn’t be taken serious", Effiong said.

The group Leader, called on the INEC Chairman, Prof. Yakubu Mahmood to use his good office and ensure that justice prevails as the ongoing prevailing injustice will cause a lot of damage to the commission under his watch.
