Electoral Fraud In Uyo! Councilor Indulges In Massive Vote-Buying For PDP … His Brother One of the INEC Ad Hoc Staff At CKS Polling Unit

By UbongAbasi Ise

Councilor representing Uyo Urban III in Uyo local government area, Mr. Ubong Utang, is reported to have been moving around with huge cash stacked in his Camry saloon car, buying votes for the PDP at the available polling units in his ward.
An eyewitness who refused to be named, told our correspondent that each voter was paid N5,000 at the gate of CKS, Wellington Bassey Way, Uyo after expressing interest to vote for the PDP as they were required to supply their names and phone numbers to the vote-trading syndicates.
The source simply gave the names of two men coordinating voters for the councilor for vote-trading as Sule and Capella.

Also, our correspondent has been hinted by the source that Mr. David Utang, one of the INEC ad hoc staff serving in polling unit 1, CKS Uyo, is a PDP faithful and a brother to the Uyo ward 3 councilor, Mr. Ubong Utang, who was elected on the platform of PDP in December 2017.
One of the special assistants to the state governor, Mr. Francis Ekong, has also been fingered to have been making attempt to get the security agents at CKS to compromise, while the INEC SPO was allegedly spotted to be receiving money from the ward councilor, our correspondent gathered from the undisclosed source.
There are also reports of voters’ intimidation at the CKS as voters suspected to be sympathetic to the opposition APC have been pressured to leave the voting area.
