Nigeria Vs Libya: Gate Fee Reduced By 50%

Teeming Nigerian football followers have been encouraged with cheaper ticket rates to turn out en masse at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Saturday as the Super Eagles of Nigeria takes on Libyan national team in a crucial 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
Speaking with newsmen in Uyo recently, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Sports, Elder Paul Bassey, announced the Akwa Ibom State Government’s decision to slash the Ticket prices for the match by half.
Elder Bassey explained that the gesture is to encourage many fans to watch the match live at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo while cheering the Super Eagles to victory.
Following this reduction, spectators will have to pay as low as N500 to watch the crucial game from the popular stands against N1,000 initial price,  while those wishing to watch from the VIP stands will have to pay N1,000 instead of the initial N,2000.
According to Bassey, "football fans around the world usually pay huge amounts of money as gate fees to watch international games of this standard, but here in Akwa Ibom, Governor Udom Emmanuel has graciously subsidized the ticket price to N500 for popular stands tickets and N1,000 for VIP tickets.”
Libya sits on top of group E table in the ongoing AFCON 2019 qualifiers with four points apiece with South Africa but with superior goal difference, while the Super Eagles of Nigeria are third on the log with three points from two games thus making Saturday’s encounter a must win if they are to be in Cameroon next year for AFCON tournament.
