A'Ibom Gets New Commissioner Of Police

Mr. John Bassey Abang has been sent to Akwa Ibom State as a Commissioner of Police taking over from Mr. Adeyemi Samuel Ogungemilusi, mni, who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General.

According to a statement released to the media yesterday by the state Police Relations Officer, DSP Odiko McDon, t
he new Police is a graduate of International Studies from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police on 15th March, 1988.

Before coming to Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Abang was a Commissioner of Police at the Force Headquarters upon his return from the National Defense, College.

Abang is happily married with children and he is the 24th Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State.
