LG Polls: Etinan Youths Move To Support Ekpo

The developmental achievements recorded by the Etinan Transition Committee Chairman Mr. Cletus Ekpo has continued to attract commendations from youths of the area. The youths have consequently move to endorse him as executive chairman in the forth-coming local government election.
The position of the youth was disclosed to newsmen recently by chairman of Etinan Youth caucus, Mr. Item Etuk.
Etuk who is a former leader of Etinan legislative council, while giving reasons for the endorsement of Ekpo to become the executive chairman, said that he has the interest of Etinan people especially youths at heart as he himself is a youth; his accessibility to the people, his administrative prowess; has high regards for the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel through complimentary development effort, his respect for elders, and being a stabilizer in the politics of Etinan.
The youth leader while calling on the people of the area to support Mr. Ekpo, noted with dismay, campaign of calumny made in some quarters to tarnish the laudable achievements the chairman has recorded as best in recent history of Etinan.
Meanwhile, five youth groups in Etinan have also move to endorse Mr. Cletus Ekpo. The groups, it was learnt are, Etinan youth council, Etinan youth caucus, Dakkada Ambassadors, National Association of Etinan Students, and Forum of Village Youth Leaders.
The youth group said that among all the aspirants seeking to contest for Etian council chairmanship position, Ekpo stands out as the best aspirant, considering his achievements so far as the transition chairman.
