Unclaimed Vehicles, Other Properties: Police Give 14 Days Ultimatum

Following long abandonment of vehicles, motor-cycles and other household items at Onna Division, the State Police Command has urged owners of such properties to visit the Division with Proof of ownership for identification and collection or risk being disposed off through public auction.
The decision by the Police Command to auction the said properties after 14 days public notice beginning from August 29, 2017, is contained in a press released signed by the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Chukwu Ikechukwu and  made available to The Sensor Crime Desk.
The release read in parts, “Akwa Ibom State Police Command request owners of abandoned and unclaimed vehicles, motorcycles and other household items at Onna Division to visit the above mentioned station with proof of ownership for identification and collection. Failure of such items to claim same within 14 days of this notice will leave the command with no option than to dispose them off through public auction.
Ikechukwu disclosed that properties due for disposal are Benz 190c Blue colour with Reg. No. BG868KTU; Serena Car CER with Reg. No. KET523AA; LIFAN CER 70 with Reg. No. UA513KET; and QLINK CER 62 with Reg. No. QT698 HAF, among other household properties.
